Drosophila melanogaster Cactus has been shown to control glutamate receptor density at neuromuscular junction (NMJ). So I wish to raise the following two questions, assuming that human ortholog of D. melanogaster Cactus exists.

1. Does human Cactus control density and/or gating of nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) at NMJ?

2. If so, can we observe such control using AFM in solution?

Addendum primum:

I have been unaware of Wnt’s role in structural changes at glutamatergic Drosophila NMJ.
