Tumor suppressor adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) protein contains seven armadillo (ARM) repeats and binds to axin and several other proteins. And it has recently been shown that it is recruited to microtubule plus end by EB1.

So I wish to raise the following two questions:

1. Does full-length human EB1 also “zipper” up human microtubule like its Schizosaccharomyces pombe ortholog Mal3P?

2. If so, can we observe such dynamics and further determine the stoichiometry of full-length human APC homooligomer using AFM in solution?
